As a part of Chembur Festival 2026, our First year students created a 19′ x 19′ wall mural depicting the theme ‘Sacred Landscapes of India’. The artwork explored the spiritual and cultural significance of India’s diverse landscapes through various traditional and contemporary art forms. Students interpreted sacred sites, natural elements and symbolic imagery associated with spirituality in India such as rivers, temples, mountains and forests.
Each section of the mural showcased different Indian art tradition and visual language, reflecting the richness of the country’s cultural heritage while forming a cohesive visual narrative. Through this exercise, students engaged with ideas of place, spirituality and cultural identity, transforming the wall into a vibrant representation of India’s sacred geography.
