Engendering Cities: Driving Gender Inclusion for Better Cities

As a part of CTES College of Architecture’s commitment to inclusive and socially responsive design education, we recently organized this two-day workshop with our 4th year students. Led by the insightful and dynamic team from Akshara Centre – Sneha Velkar and Sudipta Iyer, the workshop encouraged students to critically examine urban environments through a gender lens.

This workshop demonstrated how gender-inclusive thinking is not only socially vital but also central to designing equitable, livable and safer cities.
